Barcelona’s registration saga involving Dani Olmo and Pau Victor took yet another twist on Friday as La Liga made a key decision.
According to Esport3, La Liga is going to appeal the decision by the CSD to hand Barcelona temporary permission to register the two players.
Barcelona confirmed on Thursday that both players have been registered again and are eligible to play after being granted an injunction by the Spanish government.
La Liga president Javier Tebas has already hit out at the move, and the Spanish top flight are now set to take action by going to court
Tebas and Co will go to the Administrative Litigation Court seeking a judicial suspension of the CSD’s decision which will annul the registration of the two players.
Several La Liga clubs have also voiced their opposition to the decision to allow Barcelona to register Olmo and Pau Victor.
Atletico Madrid have issued a statement criticising the decision as setting a “dangerous precedent”, while Las Palmas and Espanyol have also put out similar communications.
