Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor Officially Registered in La Liga

The FC Barcelona received great news this Thursday as both Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor were officially registered with La Liga and the RFEF, marking their return to the first team squad. Although they were unable to play in the Supercopa de España semifinal against Athletic Club, both players are now available for Hansi Flick ahead of the final on Sunday.

A Return Amid Registration Controversy
The situation surrounding Olmo and Víctor became complicated when La Liga, on January 1, removed both players from Barcelona’s official squad, citing administrative non-compliance. However, the Consejo Superior de Deportes (CSD) issued an urgent provisional measure on Wednesday, allowing their re-registration “until the appeal is definitively resolved.”

In its statement, the CSD emphasized the severe sporting and financial implications for Barcelona if the registration were not processed:

“The CSD believes that failing to adopt this provisional measure would cause significant financial and sporting harm to the club and, most importantly, to the players. It could also negatively affect the interests of the Spanish national team, as well as other domestic competitions, including La Liga.”
